Use it from birth, all the way up to 4 years old for an all-in-one sleep solution. We used from 6 months as a next to me when she started standing and the traditional next to me was too low. Then, when our little one was happy to be a bit further away from us we used the cot version. Finally we used it as a floor cot when she was around 2. It was a great solution for us. It is big as a next to me but it was great as could have the side up or down.
